The Clerk's Tale *** Geoffrey Chaucer

This is a story about a Walter, a nobleman that treats his wife really badly giving the power that he has. The wife of this powerful men follow all of his rules and accept his order without any question. One example that can demonstrate his wifes obedience is when she agrees to the murder of her children. I was really integrated on this story about the impression that the author wanted to pass to his readers. The impression that I had is that on his tale the women is totally subordinated by a men. The readers can notes through the theme of the story and some social aspects, such as the many creative characters that Chaucer is ahead of his time. His point of views regarding the humans values are another example that emphasizes how ahead he is on his time. The author also gives his readers the impression about his interests on religion matters.
