The Wife of Bath’s Tale *** Geoffrey Chaucer
The Story is during the Kings Arthurs kingdom and his wife Bath beginning the Isle of Britain. The Isle had a lot of elves and fairs, those creatures were gone because the fairs and other mendicants took their places. The friars and the incubi raped women causing some of the women getting pregnant and the dishonor that they would have.
The beginning of the story starts with The Wife describing the freedom and the opportunities that women had during the Golden Ages while King Arthur was in charge. She also suggested the fear that women had while they traveled alone because they could be seduced by spirits. The wife was an authority on the marriage, she dah 5 previously marriages. The story is the medieval genre explained by when some of the characters make a ``confession`` of their sins. This story caught a lot of my attention because The Wife was proud of herself even as seeing a wick woman. One of the first characters in literature was The Wife due to her attitudes that put her over control of her husband.
